Internet City!

Hey first and second graders!  Here's another chance for you to share your great thoughts and earn a CARES coupon.

This week in Technology, we have been exploring the internet by taking the Google "bus" and visiting the house of PBS Kids.  Remember that Cursor (friend to Faux Paw, the techno cat) says the internet is like a big city.   We've had some fun exploring the internet city.

Now it's your turn to think about cities and towns.  Let's say that you had a chance to design your own city.  What would your city look like?  Would it have a theme - for instance a "sports" city, a "movie" city, a "book" city, or even a "bubble gum" city?   Would the buildings look like ours now or would they be very different? Perhaps it is a city that is underground, or even in the sky.   Use your imagination and write at least one sentence telling us something interesting about your imaginary city.  Remember to post your FIRST name and your teacher's last name - and have some fun!  :)

  1. My city is filled with cows that roam around on 2 legs, like people. They eat human food and play on playgrounds.

  2. My city is full of tall skyscrapers that are made of Legos. People eat their dessert first and regular food last. Most people do not like dessert, they like regular food better! People drive extra long motorcycles.

  3. Nathanial, Mrs. Schramm - "Video Game City - 1 million video games in every house. Each house is filled with video games and pokemon. There is super big buildings with water and soda too. The city will have big bridges you could play on the bridges. Instead of cars you could have video game trucks. The trucks will go left, right, straight and do whatever you tell them. You could play video games with all the controls."

  4. My city would be magical and it would stand high in the sky. The houses would be made of magic wood so they could change into any building they would like. Instead of cars that need gas we would find another way to move around like bikes or motorcycles, anything but stuff that runs on gas.
